Rest 80 Lease – Historical Production
The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) production records
indicate that the Rest 80 Lease has produced over 10,800
barrels of oil between 1993 and 2023.
• The Rest 80 wells were originally drilled in the 1930s, with
over 90% of the historical production not captured by the
RRC, meaning more than 100,000 barrels have been
produced prior to RRC maintaining production records.
• Volumetric data indicates that the Rest 80 Lease had over
1.6 million original barrels of oil in place (OOIP); It is
estimated that less than 7% of the OOIP has been recovered
to date.
• General oil recoveries in reservoirs such as this range from
10-18% of the OOIP. Source: Society of Petroleum Engineers
