OIL & GAS
Welcome to Our Oil and Gas Ventures
At Lono we bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the dynamic and ever-evolving world of oil and gas. Our commitment to identifying and capitalizing on unique opportunities sets us apart in the industry.
Our Approach
We understand that the oil and gas sector demands strategic vision and hands-on management. Our team, led by Director and Managing Partner Bill Griffith, draws on over 23 years of financial services experience, with a specific focus on oil and gas.
Why Oil and Gas
The oil and gas industry remains a cornerstone of global energy, and we believe in its potential for sustainable growth. Our ventures encompass exploration, production, and strategic investments that align with our mission of delivering robust risk-adjusted returns to our investors.
Rest 80 Lease – Historical Production
The Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) production records
indicate that the Rest 80 Lease has produced over 10,800
barrels of oil between 1993 and 2023.
• The Rest 80 wells were originally drilled in the 1930s, with
over 90% of the historical production not captured by the
RRC, meaning more than 100,000 barrels have been
produced prior to RRC maintaining production records.
• Volumetric data indicates that the Rest 80 Lease had over
1.6 million original barrels of oil in place (OOIP); It is
estimated that less than 7% of the OOIP has been recovered
to date.
• General oil recoveries in reservoirs such as this range from
10-18% of the OOIP. Source: Society of Petroleum Engineers
Acid Fracture Stimulation Summary
“Oil and gas operators have used acid treatment (acidizing) to improve well productivity for almost 120 years. Acidizing predates all other
well stimulation techniques, including hydraulic fracturing which was not developed until the late 1940s. Today, acidizing is one of the most
widely used and effective means available to oil and gas operators for improving productivity (stimulation) of wells. Acidizing is commonly
performed on new wells to maximize their initial productivity and on aging wells to restore productivity and maximize the recovery of energy
resources.”
“The purpose of matrix or fracture acidizing is to restore or improve an oil or gas well’s productivity by Bdissolving material in the productive formation that is restricting flow, or to dissolve formation rock itself
to enhance existing, or to create new flow paths to the wellbore. Two key factors dominate the treatment
selection and design process when planning an acid job; formation type – carbonate, sandstone, or shale,
and formation permeability – the ability of fluid to flow through the formation in its natural state.”
Upside Production Potential Analog Study
Large Operating LLC (RRC Operator # 486623) has implemented and continues to
bring on return-to-production and acid fracture stimulations on new and existing
wells and leases alongside our properties.
➢ Nov 2018 (low point): 447 barrels per month (~15 BOPD)
➢ Oct 2022 (high point): 3,297 barrels per month (~110 BOPD)
✓ 7.38x increase in production over that time
As demonstrated by the graph, Large Operating continues to see successful
increases in production. Speaking with their field hands about their recent work
offsetting our acreage, Large Operating is focusing on acid jobs because they are
seeing positive results in the area near the Rest 80 Lease.
Project Potential & Decline Curve Model
One-Well Production Model
Three-Well, Three-Year Production Model
Production models are based on offset well data and
regional trend data of acid stimulated wells. Models assume
an IP of 20 BOPD per well and a normalized decline rate.
